A Bay Area native, Dayanna Griffin began singing at the early age of 4. Being brought up in the church & a family full of singers & musicians, she began singing in the children’s choir & worked her way up throughout the years. At the age of 17, Dayanna decided that she would commit her life to singing for The Lord & Him only because she realized that it was He who blessed her with this gift of singing. Since then, God has blessed her to sing in her current church choirs (the New Covenant Church Fellowship under Rev. H. L. Garnett) & other choirs such as the Northern-California Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America & The Joe Douglass & Spirit of Praise Group. She has also been blessed to be apart of the Praise & Worship team of the Gospel Music Workshop of America. Dayanna has had the privilege of singing amongst Gospel greats such as Le’Andria Johnson, Donnie McClurkin, Vashawn Mitchell, James Hall & more. She has also had the opportunity to sing background vocals for Gospel Artists such as Kirk Franklin, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Myron Butler, Tasha Cobbs, Myron Williams, Bishop Paul Morton & more. She is currently preparing for a full-length studio album that will give a glimpse into the transparent experience of a young girl growing up and facing life’s challenges and successes. As you can see, Dayanna’s ministry has been blessed througout the years but when asked how she views her life so far, she respond by saying ‘the favor of God isn’t fair! Not just from the views of others, but when I think of all that I’ve done in my life, I realize that I’m not worthy of the Favor that God has given me! So, to God be ALL the Glory for the things that He has done!’
